In the meantime, looks like if Chrysler ever gets off the ground, we might be seeing a few of these in our future:
This is the re-engineered Fiat CinqueCento (that's 500 for you non-Italian speakers) introduced back in '07, here gloriously showcased at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, just before we left Italy. Take a good look...you should expect the American version to be rolling off the assembly lines (barring a complete cataclysm at Chrysler) in about 12-24 months. My personal opinion, after having driven an Alfa Romeo (part of the Fiat brand) for almost 2 years before giving it up for junk: wait a year or two before jumping. Then again, the recent transformation at Fiat has been nothing short of miraculous, so who am I to judge? TTFN.
